Bahia is one of the 26 states of Brazil. It is also a pre-Prohibition drink containing dry vermouth, sherry, absinthe and bitters. This more recent Pina Colada style offering has more mas market appeal. You could use silver rum instead but, c’mon … it’s named after a Brazilian state. Just use Cachaca!
Ingredients:
2 oz Cachaca
3/4 oz Coconut Cream
3 oz Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Cream
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well for 10-15 seconds or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosted. Strain into lowball glass which is filled with crushed ice.
Garnish with a pineapple wedge that includes some rind and two half cherries stuck to it and serve.
